Centre Fours
The ladies centre NZ Bowls Club fours was won by Sue M, Joan S, Sue W & Julianne. They played the Terrace End team of Fran, Sheryn, Georgie & Bev. It was a hard fought match with Sues team holding 1 point over the Terrace End team going into the last end. Well done to Sue M for gaining your 5th Centre Title and Gold Star!

The Mens Centre NZ Bowls Club Fours was won by Ray L, Doug, Des and John P. The match against Takaro was another close game but the Northern guys picked up a 4 on the 16th end when the match was all tied to get their nose ahead. This was the first Centre titles for both John & Doug. Well done to all of you.

Both teams will now play in the zone playoffs on the 25th of Feb.

Interclub
A fantastic effort from both the Mens and Ladies Division 1 Interclub Teams.
The men had it won without finishing the last round. By the time they won the singles and pairs it was time to head for the club house and celebrate a victory!
The Ladies had a lot harder time to win theirs, it went down to the last game. A very exciting affair for those watching. A good last day saw the team pull ahead of Terrace End and the others Clubs to win.
Division 2 Men and Ladies still have a few rounds to go so they will be on the greens on Saturday. The Ladies are in first place at the moment and the men are in second so it could be another exciting day to watch bowls and support the club.

Club Champ Fours
With the first rain, or light drizzle, that we have seen for weeks the day started with wet weather gear the norm. More rounds are to play so no results as yet. The next rounds will be played in January.

John Hayes has passed on a link to an interesting website so I am passing it on to you. Some light reading for the bowler... go here to read more
