Firstly Congrats to those players who performed so successfully in the NZ Inter-Club and Inter-Centre Finals.
Well done Ladies 2nd division!! A very popular and well deserved NZ title win to Chrissie, Lynlea, Jacinta, Sue Way, Sue Meyer, Sandra and Julianne.
Development Mens. Well done Manawatu on defending your inter-centre title; and special mention to Grant and Stephen as members of this victorious team. Great job fellas.
A very warm thank you to all who helped make the Inter-Club and Inter-Centre tournaments so successful. We have received many words of gratitude for the excellent condition of our greens, the high standard of the lunches and afternoon teas, the organisation and communication throughout the four days, and the hospitality and friendliness of the Northern hosts. Thanks again to all who helped make this a successful, well managed and enjoyable long weekend of bowls.
Closing Weekend.
A reminder that the Saturday 26 April tournament is the Mixed Pairs. Have you got your team entered yet? This year the closing day tournament will be the concluding day of the Carpet Court pairs and will be held on Sunday April 27. This will be followed by a meal and the presentation of trophies, awards etc.
Dinner. The closing day dinner will be a catered roast pork meal. The cost of this dinner will be $10 for club members, and $15 for visitors. For catering purposes we must know the numbers for dinner by 5:00pm Wednesday April 23. A sign up sheet for dinner will be displayed on the notice board. If you wish to have dinner you must sign up – playing in the Carpet Court does not automatically put you on the dinner list.
