Warmest congratulations to our Women’s second division interclub team (winners of the NZ title last season) for making the finals of the Manawatu Sports Team of the Year. Well done to Chris, Jacinta, Lynlea, Julianne, Sue Meyer, Sue Way and Sandra, as well as selector Phil and manager Joy.
The Sportsman of the Year dinner is to be held on Friday November 14 beginning at 6:45pm at the Awapuni Function Centre which is at the racecourse. I know that all of the team will be attending and this is an invitation for all Northern members to join them in what should be a most enjoyable evening. In addition to the announcement of the winners in each section there will be a full dinner (wine provided) and a variety of entertainment headed by the guest speaker Mahy Drysdale. Sounds like a fun night for all!!
If you would like to attend, the cost is $55 per person with a discount to $50 for a table of 8. So get a group together or just put your name down as a starter and we will see how many groups of 8 we can organise.
