Last weekend the Club hosted the Bowls Manawatu, Julia Wallace, Open Mixed 2x4x2 Pairs.
This tournament was run over the 3 days of
Labour weekend in generally good weather although, there were periods of misty
drizzle which made the conditions a little trying at times. Despite this, there
were some good bowls played which were enjoyed by those who popped in to support
their teams and club mates.
The eventual winners were our own Sharon
Sims and Mark Noble. Congratulations and well done to both of you.
The runner ups were Grant Simms and Fran
Frith of Terrance End. Grant is a dual member of Terrance End and Northern. Well
done.

On Labour Weekend Monday we held our Open Pairs
tournament sponsored by Mark Sampson (Professionals).
Limited to 24 teams due to the final of
the Open Mixed 2x4x2 Pairs being played, this tournament was won by Neil Gordon
and Lynlea Rogers.
Congratulations to you both.
Coming up is the Centre Triples this
weekend followed by the Pairs on November the 5th and 6th.
On Monday November the 7th Northern
Ladies are holding the GV & M Boness Contractors Ladies Gala Triples. A
9.30am start.
Get your teams in quickly Ladies.
